Planning Specialist


  • Review the initial work scope with the check supervisor and/or maintenance manager (if required) and take over ownership of the project
  • Discuss the project work scope with the customer during the whole project time
  • Raise defects and scope increases to the customer via sub-quotes of main work order
  • Investigate parts pricing in cooperation with logistics department
  • Track critical parts with the help of check supervisor and/or maintenance manager
  • Open work orders in internal system
  • Issue work progress report to customer on a regular basis (once a week)
  • Monitor project risk and identify mitigation strategies
  • Support check supervisors and leaders during the maintenance project
  • Control the hours and material budget of the project
  • Work closely together with the billing department to prepare and issue the final project invoice
  • Coordinate all required paperwork and documentation for the release to service of the AC (Job cards, work report, log book, etc.)
  • Manage customer disputes and escalate to the appropriate level as required


  • Bachelor’s degree in aviation industry (preferred)
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong technical knowledge in aviation
  • Capacity to adapt to a challenging and fast-moving environment, with changing priorities and a heavy workload
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work on several projects simultaneously and to set priorities / taking initiatives when needed
  • Computer literate (MS Office, CAMP an advantage)
  • Fluent in English (Latvian and Russian is an asset)
  • Customer service mentality
